Exfoliation is the process where excess unwanted cells are removed from the surface layer of the skin.
This process is an important step in your skincare routine in order to improve the appearance of your skin. Exfoliating rejuvenates the skin allowing your epidermis to produce new skin cells so that there won’t be any build up of old skin causing a rough-uneven skin. You can exfoliate your skin by using a facial scrub brush, a wash rag or a silicone facial scrubber cleansing pad. They all work effectively depending on the individual’s skin type.
The facial brush is very abrasive on the skin especially around delicate areas on your face such as your under eye and cheeks. Facial brushes can also inflame the skin causing breakouts.
The silicone pad is very convenient but does not fully exfoliate the skin because of its small rounded head. Also, both exfoliators tend to make your pores appear larger in size.
A washcloth is my best pick, yes it may be old fashion but it works wonders for normal to sensitive skin. It’s gentle and it leaves your skin with a refreshed, smooth clean feeling.
How to exfoliate your face the right way
•Rinse your face with warm water.
•Apply your facial cleanser (Black soap).
•Gently massage the cleanser into your skin with a clean damp cloth.
•Exfoliate gently in an upward circular motion for 2 minutes.
•Rinse your face and continue to massage your wet face with a clean damp rag for 1 minute.
This process regulates blood circulation leaving you with a brilliant looking younger skin
